The Virginia Military Institute (VMI) invites applications for the Director of the Center for Leadership and Ethics. Reporting to the Superintendent the Director is responsible for the Center’s programs, financial management and operations.
The Center’s mission is to advance the understanding, practice, and integration of leadership and character development at the Institute and to share insights gleaned from the VMI programs with a broader national audience. Further details on the Center may be found at:
Candidates should have broad experience in programs directly related to leadership and character development, planning, financial management, as well as other relevant administrative experience. The successful candidate will have earned an advanced degree at the masters-level or higher. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in planning and implementing large-scale events as well as accomplished presentation skills for audiences at all levels.
This is an Administrative Faculty position. The incumbent will wear a military uniform and will observe military customs and courtesies. Prior military service, while not required, is highly desirable.
